    Owning Camaro's is a sickness.
So anyways bought another Camaro. I couldn't pass this one up. I have this sickness where I would like to own one of every generation. Well 3rd generation I had decided , since it is my least favorite generation, that it would be the generation I get a 'vert. Well I just happened to come across this one. Come to find out the Dealer miss listed it for 995, when it was suppose to list for 1995. Lowest Blue Book trade in is $1500. Well I snatched it up. Body is rough, needs new top, but runs and drives nice. Only has 115k on it. It's 305 with 700r4

    Been cold
Well on Monday I was just plain tired and sunburned from Sunday. Then Tuesday it was rainy and today it was friggin cold. Suppose to be nice out so will be going back to hopefully get the rest of the pieces off the parts car. I did go over and work on the 77 though.

    The steering column coming out.

So can take the pedal out.

So new clutch pedals can go in, woohoo a manual Camaro.

Took out the TH350 Crossmember, won't be using it.

    Removed the old exhaust.

And had some help so got the new engine mounts installed.

    HEHE Another Camaro
Ok so it's only a parts car, so now need to strip off what I need in the next week. Then it's not my issue anymore :P

It changes my plans since this has everything I need (including transmission) to swap over to manual and 3.08 rear (2.56 right now).

Also Matt from our club has majority of the pieces I need to get it in and running, woohooo.

Matt from our Club helping me.

    Got some more work done.
Trying to get as much done as possible, would like to have engine in and running by end of next week but not sure will have all the pieces I need.

Got the heads cleaned up and install back on the engine, engine is ready to paint.

Wire brushed the paint off the drivers side rear quarter. I knew I would find a dent, didn't know I would need a new quarter. People who patch shit incorrectly and patch over rust so it rusts from the inside should be fucking shot. Check this shit out.

    Rid of the 81 Regal.
So saw a sign that said your cars wanted $100 guaranteed. Gave him a call on Sunday he called me back on Monday. He had a  hell of a time getting it onto his trailer since it didn't have any tires on the front (told him this on the phone before he came) but he paid up the cash.

Went and bought parts for the 77. New engine mounts, transmission mount, front and rear seal for the TH350 and a filter +gasket kit.

    Started work on the 77.
So after being sick for a bit, time to get to work on the 77 Camaro. Want to see if I can get it running.

Pulled the seats out, drivers looks good. Some plastice broken. Need recovered or course. Passengers seems to be broken. Will try to figure out how to fix this one or find a donor to fix the frame. Back seats are there but need recovered also. Have most of the interior pieces but no center console.

It's 03N So Vinyl White. From researching on Nastyz28.com it means Seats and doorpanels are white vinyl. The Dash, Carpet, rear shelf are Dark Aqua. Still not sure if the center console would of been Dark Aqua or Black. All the pictures I have seen of red and tan 77 cars the console matches.

Then off with the vinly top, I knew there was rust there. Could of been worse. Top is mostly just surface, it's the edges that took the most damage.

Here is with some of it started to be cleaned up.

Here is the worst of it.

This should be reskinned but that is a bit cost preventive tool and part wise at this time. So think I am going to use por-15 products to repair it now with plans to reskin it later if it doesn't work. Main thing is to stop the rust.

Little bit of rust in floor, could of been worse.

Looks like someone coated the rust here with something on the passenger side.

Backseat foot area looks good just surface.

Trunk looks good just some surface rust where the carpet padding got wet and stuck.

And a little surface on the driverside bumper rail braces. Well I think that is what they are.

Not much going on, well maybe :P
So we left off just before Christmas and it was cold. Had some trips to take, etc. Well it is now spring time to get to work and I need to update.

I was trying to get into working on the 81 Regal, but couldn't really do it. Wanted something in a camaro that was already a factory V8 to make it a little easier. So I tried to trade my 78 Chevy Stepside 4x4 for a 78 Camaro, nothing special, was in very sad shape. Guy really thought he had more than he did and didn't do it. Which I am glad he did now :P Since couple days later I sold the Stepside + some parts for $600.

I then went down the road and purchased this. I offered him $500($600 asking price couple months ago) and walked away with the title transfer slip and a receipt for $538

    Engine and transmission
I bought what was suppose to be a low mileage Chevy 350 4-bolt main from a coworker. Along with the engine stand it was on and a 700r4 transmission that was with the engine when was pulled so possible low mileage.

    CAM 70 350 300 350 L-48 1x4 H cam
    NOV 70 350 300 350 L-48 1x4 H cam
    CHE 70 350 300 350 L-48 1x4 H cam

My Camaro books show the block being the base model SS engine. So cool old block.

Now to figure out what I am going to put it in.

    Started Work on TR.
I was able to get the Title and Vin# inspected so I could take the title to DMV and process for title transfer.  We decided to start doing some clean up.

Carrie Vacuumed the trunk and most of the interior.

The trunk looks really clean, spare tire and Jack are there. The hold downs and the misc. small parts were missing so junkyard hunt items.

I pulled all of the Misc. parts out of the Trunk, Interior and Engine Bay. All these parts were loose. I then vacuumed the engine bay. It's nice to be able to just suck all the misc. weeds/leaves and crap that collect when a car sits.

Need to pick up some basics, hoses, vacuum lines etc. We will soon start to put the engine back together so we can see if it will run.

    New project
Haven't posted much but really haven't been working on anything. Been just driving the Camaro, but........

A new project has been purchased. I have always wanted one of these and now I have one. It does need some work but it's a rare car. Only 1500-2k of them produced and from what I have been told so far even rarer because it has column shift and bucket seats.

So the new resto project is..................................

    a 1985 Buick Regal T-Type

Here it is pushed into the shop, waiting for VIN check and title transfer before we start putting it back together. All the pieces appear to be there.

At the same time I picked up this 1981 Buick Regal, still undecided on what I am going to do with this. Either going to make it my race car or get it running good and trade it for a Camaro to race this next season.

    Rims on Craigslist
I am needing rims to put DR tires on next year for the track. These came up on craigslist today.

Waiting to hear if they will work or not. Then have to devise a way to purchase/trade for them :P
